track 1

About me anomaly != faulty

My name is Alessandro but I prefer to be called Alex. I don't want to open my presentation by identifying myself as a student, since that's just a social label. First and foremost I'm an individual with passions, ideologies, dreams, flaws and quirks. Alas, I won't tell you all of my business in this text; the full enumeration we leave to the more daring.

I'm currently living my nineteenth year in this bizarre world. These recent years I've alternated between moments of extreme rationality and purely emotional choices; Why? Well because I'm a fucking ADHD; not self-diagnosed like the fad goes today.

I lived in Rome for a long time, now I'm just outside it; I've gone from stars to stables, at least in terms of surroundings and community, luckily I'm not deeply affected by it, since my hobbies are mostly solitary and I spend most of the rest of the time at home.

I recently finished the ESP ~Enhanced Standardization Process, meaning high school. Even though I got top marks on both written exams and the oral, I came out with 86; that was because of my total disinterest in extra activities during the last 3 years, basically I had few credits. My terrible school experience is perfectly described in my end-of-year masterpiece, readable here (in Italian) {feedback appreciated :)}.

Now I've enrolled at the Tor Vergata University, in Rome, specifically in the computer science bachelor's. No expectations here either, actually I already know how it works thanks to the survivors. I hope I can avoid attending in person; honestly I'm pretty confident I can pull it off just from home since I've got the right habitat, a good study method, and let's just say I don't aspire to ride the ring road every morning for the next 3 years.

Life

My hobbies aren't only ends in themselves, they're fundamental to my mental stability, real outlets, all strictly healthy. Luckily, during adolescence I didn't feel insecure enough to have to experiment with drugs or cigarettes; on top of that I'm almost teetotal, I drink only in extremely sporadic situations and when I do it's just for the buzz that follows, never for the taste, which I detest.

Music is the very first outlet; I'm the kind who chases it from Bari to Turin and even outside Italy if needed. I listen to various genres, even if there are 3 artists I owe more to than I could ever give back in an entire lifetime: ~Drast Marco De Cesaris, ~Faccianuvola Alessandro Feruda and ~Lilvkneki Alessio Akira Aresu. This summer I'll also start getting familiar with the guitar, to try and replicate those divine sparks I love so much.

I ride a motorcycle, luckily I ride it well, and by 'well' I mean I'm not the classic idiot who cuts lanes or rides without gear. I don't just use it on Sundays, I also take it on big trips. The bike is an rc 390.

Video games can't be missing either, also done in a certain way, not that the other way is wrong, same as with the motorcycle, but they remain 2 completely different philosophies of approach to what the gaming world is. I've written a reflection on this in /pensieri/rockstar, readable here. I tend to pick a title and go vertical on it, aiming for respectable results. Obviously I'm talking about desktop with mouse and keyboard, couch and pad are banned. Currently cs2 lvl8.

I'm however curious about many things, all barely explored due to school limitations. For instance, I sometimes go running, I'm getting into personal finance, I recently started reading, unfortunately geopolitics has also been quite entertaining lately.
